Bridge Street One Lane Bridge

When Bigfork’s downtown bridge was slated for removal, the Community Foundation for a Better Bigfork stepped up! After a year of engagement, the Community Foundation successfully lobbied the Montana Department of Transportation and Flathead County to replace the iconic one-lane bridge and walkway with a similarly designed structure. Members of The Foundation worked collaboratively with State and County representatives to ensure that the historical aesthetics of the legacy structure would be maintained in a new, more effective bridge. Construction on the bridge replacement is expected to begin in 2024. Please donate today or consider attending the CFBB yearly auction September 1 at the Garden Bar. Together we can bridge the gap to Bigfork’s future.
