We are surrounded by some of the best skiing you could ever ask for, including Crane Mountain and the Bigfork Community Nordic Center, which maintains a large system of trails for snowshoers, x-c skiers and racers next to the Swan Mountains on Jewel Basin and Foothills Road.
Bigfork is also near enough to both Big Mountain in Whitefish and Blacktail Mountain in Lakeside to ensure even the most discriminating skiers have an unforgettable time.
Bigfork Community Nordic Center (BCNC) is located on Montana state land at the corner of Foothills Road and Jewel Basin Road. It covers nearly 4 miles of flat to gently rolling terrain and is groomed 5 days a week from December thru March. Visit the BCNC website for daily weather updates during grooming season.
Family-friendly skiing with amazing views of Flathead Lake as a bonus. Blacktail Mountain Ski Area is a 5-star ski resort located above the quaint town of Lakeside, MT, just 30 minutes from Bigfork.
Also called Big Mountain, Whitefish Mountain Resort covers 3,000 acres and boasts both winter and summer activities for the whole family. Located in Whitefish, Montana, about an hour outside of Bigfork.
