As an unincorporated community, Bigfork has no municipal law enforcement but relies on the services of Flathead and Lake County Sheriff along with the Montana Highway Patrol.
In the event of an emergency, dial 911. For non-emergency situations, Flathead County dispatch can be reached at 406-758-5585.
Bigfork to Woods Bay and down to Swan Lake and Condon, rely on the dedicated efforts of Bigfork Fire Department and Ferndale Volunteer Fire Department for emergency services. The staff and voluntteers of both departments, are committed to serving their communities. For non-emergency medical help, the nearest hospital and emergency room can be found in Kalispell at Logan Health.
