June 1 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Southern mountain caribou once roamed throughout much of Northwest Montana, Idaho and Northeast Washington. Since the 1990s, these animals have seen a dramatic decline in population due to habitat fragmentation and outdoor winter recreation. In 2019, the United States lost its last herd, and many other herds in southern Canada are on the same trajectory. Join wildlife photographer, Cory DeStein as he discusses his volunteer preservation efforts in Southern British Columbia, as well as the current measures happening to save these deep snow caribou.
