Instructor: Sylvia Smith
Sylvia will teach the basics of wet-felting on a bar of soap. This is good clean fun that produces a bar of soap with a built-in scrubby. If you don’t care to use the felted soap bar for handwashing, then it makes a good drawer sachet. No felting or fiber arts experience is required for this kid-friendly tactile activity. The felted bars make nice stocking stuffers or teacher gifts. Bars of Irish Spring will be provided, but class participants are welcome to bring their own preferred soap.
Sylvia Smith has been playing with wool and spinning for around 30 years and is currently working her way through the Master Spinner program at Olds College. She lives in northwest Montana with her husband and cat, with one being an enabler of her fiber pursuits while the other is an occasional obstacle.
Cost: $35.00
