Montana Health and Safety will be partnering with Hug-A-Tree and Survive, a program that teaches children how to survive if they get lost in the woods. The program has four key rules: tell an adult where you are going, hug a tree and stay put if you are lost, keep warm and dry, and help searchers find you by answering their calls. The program was created after a nine-year-old boy died in the woods in San Diego, California. Open to children with parents from 4-9 years old. FREE but requires registration. Space is limited. This event will be held at the Bigfork Library.
