Herbal Seasoning and Tasting Workshop

Local herbalist and owner of Bee’s Knees Mercantile, Kassie Roedel, has been invited to guide a Kitchen Apothecary Series that focuses on herbal seasoning blends and how to apply them in various dishes through live cooking demonstrations and tastings. The series includes introductory blending and tasting workshops, as well as all-inclusive dinner parties throughout the year.

We will begin the series with an Herbal Seasoning & Tasting Workshop that focuses on the combination of locally grown savory herbs, such as garlic, dill, sage, oregano, and winter savory. Participants will follow an original recipe to blend a half pint of herbal seasoning, then learn how to apply it towards various dishes through a mini cooking demonstration, followed by a taste testing.

Participants will taste the following dishes:

• Herb goat cheese with crackers and herbal honey.

• Pan seared halibut with herbal vinegar served with braised herb leeks and potatoes.

If you’re interested in building your kitchen apothecary and indulging your culinary senses, we invite you to participate in the Kitchen Apothecary Series.
