The Founder’s Day .5K is here, a grueling 829-foot endurance challenge celebrating Bigfork’s 125th Anniversary! Join us for the shortest race with the biggest bragging rights as racers make their way from the Bigfork Inn to Lake Baked in this majestic feat of human athleticism.
This is a race designed for everyone. Elite athletes, casual walkers, families, kids, grandparents, coffee-in-hand participants, and people whose training plan consists entirely of “thinking about it” are all welcome. If you can make it 829 feet, you can finish this race.
829 feet is about 276 giant steps, shorter than the average Costco trip, and just far enough to question life choices. Months of ignoring cardio have all led up to this!
Costumes are encouraged…speed is optional.
Awards will be given for: Most Enthusiastic Finisher, Perfectly Average, Slowest Without Technically Stopping and Most Overcommitted (Costume)
Don’t miss the mandatory high-five checkpoint on your way to the finish line. Preregister here or show up day of to be a part of the magic.
