Public Informational Meeting – Flathead County Jail Bond

You are invited to a public informational meeting about the proposed Flathead County Jail Bond, which would fund the construction of a new detention facility and related infrastructure to address overcrowding and safety concerns at the current jail.

Presentation by:

  • Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino
  • Detention Commander Jenny Root

A Q&A session will follow the presentation.

NOTE:  The Bigfork Area Chamber of Commerce is not taking an official position on the proposed Flathead County Jail Bond. As a strictly non-political organization, we believe our role is to inform rather than advocate.  We recognize the importance of this issue to our community and aim to help disseminate accurate and factual information so that residents and business owners can make an informed decision when they vote.

This meeting will take place Wednesday, October 22nd at 5:30 pm at the Community United Methodist Church, 750 Electric Avenue, Bigfork.  Ballots are due Tuesday, November 4.
