Walk the Northshore

Every season when Flathead Lake’s water level drops, the north shore of Flathead Lake becomes a sandy paradise reminiscent of ocean shores. If you’re a nature lover, you will enjoy walking the sandy beach and exploring the area of the lake that is only accessible for a short amount of time.

Please note that much of the area near the high water line is private property. The Flathead Waterfowl Production Area access is restricted from March 1 – July 15 to protect nesting ground birds, please be respectful of signs and only walk to the west toward Bigfork
