Flathead Cherry Pickers LIVE at Flathead Lake Brewing

Join us for live music in the Cellar on Saturday, November 2nd from 6 to 8pm! We’re excited to welcome the Flathead Cherry Pickers to the Flathead Lake Brewing Co. Pubhouse.

The Flathead Cherry Pickers are music-loving locals from the Flathead Valley. They will take you on a journey through modern and classic bluegrass styles from gospel to contemporary to southern “swampy” vibes and beyond, and even throw in some genre-crossovers putting a bluegrass twist on well-known popular music. Hailing from Bigfork, Montana, Brett Johnsen’s guitar flatpicking style is reminiscent of familiar names such as Tony Rice, Bryon Sutton, and Dan Tyminski, while Ted and Teddy Cotton, father and son also hailing from Bigfork, create a rhythm section that will get you off your seats and dancing with smooth mandolin and upright bass grooves. Ted’s Melodic Mandolin runs bring a jazzy air to the band slipping in and out of classic chops and blazing solos, while Teddy’s jazz-inspired upright bass skills keep the whole band full and steady. And finally, from Ronan, Montana, Sam Carroll brings a diverse set of banjo skills from that classic banjo roll to his roots in the old time clawhammer method from 1930’s Appalachia.
