Glacier Symphony is so thrilled to share the details of our upcoming concert and collaborations in The Planets and Outer Space Film Experience on October 14th and 15th. This concert will be the ultimate fusion of science and sound! Come listen to your symphony perform Gustav Holst’s The Planets while watching a breathtaking outer space film with NASA imagery by astronomer and filmmaker, Dr. Jose Francisco Salgado of KV 265 Science and Symphony. The Planets Suite contains 7 distinct movements: Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. <![if !vml]><![endif]> As an extra treat, star pianist, Ilya Yakushev will perform Rachmaninoff’s 2nd Piano Concerto. Plus, catch the pre-concert lecture from Dr. Salgado for an extra dose of space education! <![if !vml]><![endif]>
Saturday October 14th: Pre-concert lecture is 6:30-7p.m. and concert is 7:30-9:30 p.m.
Sunday October 15th: Pre-concert lecture is 2:00-2:30 p.m. and concert is 3:00-5:00 p.m.
