DESCRIPTION:FOURTH OF JULY PARADE 2026 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBigfork knows how to throw a party. And when it is our country’s birthday\, Bigfork really knows how to celebrate. This year’s theme will be announced soon.  \nCenterpiece of the celebration is the annual parade through Bigfork which begins at noon. Bring your whole family to view our great parade to celebrate the birth of our country. The 4th of July Parade in Bigfork is a Flathead Valley favorite. There will be food trucks and live music in the downtown parking lot starting at 10am and continuing after the parade so head down early. \nParking for the parade will be in the field at the intersection of Highway 35 and 82. From this parking area only\, free shuttle service is available to downtown from 8am-5pm. For everyone to have a clear view of the parade\, there will be no cars allowed in downtown Bigfork after 8 am on the 4th. \nFloats must pre-register. If you are planning on entering a loat in the parade\, you must pre-register and make sure you understand the float line up procedure. There is a fee for all entries to help cover the costs associated with the parade. We are asking that all individuals attending the parade in any capacity remember this is a community event – welcoming to all and strictly non-partisan.  Please keep this in mind if you are planning to attend or participate in the parade. Any person or float that is deemed by parade organizers as offensive or political will be removed from the event.  We are proud of where we live in and excited to invite the Flathead Valley to this non-partisan celebration of America’s birthday. Political candidates are allowed to participate with respectful campaign signage only (name\, seat\, party) and may not hand out printed information. \nThe parade begins at noon with members of the military.  They will pause in front of the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts to present colors while the National Anthem is sung. \nParade Rules: \n\nThe parade organizers will remove any person and or float that is deemed to be political or offensive. This is a non-partisan community event.\nItems may not be thrown into the crowd. Walkers with your float may hand out items or they may be gently tossed toward the feet of spectators.\nNo confetti cannons or throwing confetti. Confetti leaves lasting litter throughout our village.  If any person on your float is seen breaking this rule\, you will be required to pay for clean-up.\nParade line up starts at 9 am sharp and closes exactly at 11 am.\nLineup is first come/first in line\nThere is no place holding\nAnimals and livestock are welcome to join the parade after the rest of the floats and before the Flathead Lake Lodge firetruck – who is last. If you will have animals\, please contact us so we can help find a safe\, shady place for them.  Please have walkers to clean up after them\nJudging will take place in the parade line up. To be judged\, your float must be completed by 11:00 am.\nFloats that have not pre-registered or that arrive after 11am will not be allowed in the parade.\n\n\n\n\n\nJudging Criteria:\n \n\nOriginality: This category judges the overall creativity and originality in the float design and concept.\nCraftsmanship: This category judges the quality and complexity of the float’s workmanship.\nEntertainment Value: This category judges the float’s “wow factor.” Judges will consider the elements such as color\, sound\, and motion. Rumble in the Bay is one of the most anticipated car shows of the summer in the Pacific Northwest. \nSet in the scenic village of Bigfork\, Montana — right on the shores of Flathead Lake — Rumble in the Bay transforms our charming downtown into a celebration of horsepower and history. Electric Avenue will be closed to traffic as classic cars\, trucks\, and motorcycles take center stage. Whether you’re showing off your ride or just soaking in the nostalgia\, there’s something for everyone. \nAttendees are invited to the Show and Shine from 10-3pm.  The Rumble in the Bay Awards Ceremony will begin at 3pm.  This is a family friendly event with food\, entertainment\, poker walk\, 50/50 split the pot\, and more. \nThere is no fee for attendees and parking is available at the Bigfork Schools.  Limited handicap parking\, with decal\, will be available downtown on Grand.  Well behaved fur-babies are welcome on leash and you must clean up after them. \nThere is also a Rumble Around the Lake Poker Run\, open to all types of vehicles\, on the Saturday.  Start at the Buffalo Saloon at 10:30 and then make it back by 4 p.m. for the Ante-Up Party. \nProceeds from this event go towards annual scholarships and awards given to Bigfork students and residents by the Bigfork VFW. SUMMARY:Bigfork Elves Decorating Day
DESCRIPTION:It is time to turn Bigfork into Montana’s Christmas Village!  Meet in front of the Bigfork Inn at 8 am for a quick lesson on bow and tree tying before hitting the streets of Bigfork.  Powered by coffee\, hot chocolate and doughnuts\, roughly a hundred volunteers make this magical transformation happen.   The decorations will stay up until the end of  January.  Don’t forget\, all the Elves are invited back to help take down the decorations in January. This family friendly community decorating party is open to all ages and only takes about 4 hours.  Santa Hats will be provided for those who are new this year and pins dispensed AFTER decorating is completed. \nHot Chili is served up for lunch to warm you up after the work is done\, courtesy of the Garden Bar and Bigfork Ladies Service Club!\n\n\n

This year’s theme will be announced soon.  \nCenterpiece of the celebration is the annual parade through Bigfork which begins at noon. Bring your whole family to view our great parade to celebrate the birth of our country. The 4th of July Parade in Bigfork is a Flathead Valley favorite. There will be food trucks and live music in the downtown parking lot starting at 10am and continuing after the parade so head down early. \nParking for the parade will be in the field at the intersection of Highway 35 and 82. From this parking area only\, free shuttle service is available to downtown from 8am-5pm. For everyone to have a clear view of the parade\, there will be no cars allowed in downtown Bigfork after 8 am on the 4th. \nFloats must pre-register. If you are planning on entering a loat in the parade\, you must pre-register and make sure you understand the float line up procedure. There is a fee for all entries to help cover the costs associated with the parade. DESCRIPTION:It is time to turn Bigfork into Montana’s Christmas Village!  Meet in front of the Bigfork Inn at 8 am for a quick lesson on bow and tree tying before hitting the streets of Bigfork.  Powered by coffee\, hot chocolate and doughnuts\, roughly a hundred volunteers make this magical transformation happen.   The decorations will stay up until the end of  January.  Don’t forget\, all the Elves are invited back to help take down the decorations in January. This family friendly community decorating party is open to all ages and only takes about 4 hours.  Santa Hats will be provided for those who are new this year and pins dispensed AFTER decorating is completed. \nHot Chili is served up for lunch to warm you up after the work is done\, courtesy of the Garden Bar and Bigfork Ladies Service Club!\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:FOURTH OF JULY PARADE 2026 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBigfork knows how to throw a party. And when it is our country’s birthday\, Bigfork really knows how to celebrate. This year’s theme will be announced soon.  \nCenterpiece of the celebration is the annual parade through Bigfork which begins at noon. Bring your whole family to view our great parade to celebrate the birth of our country. The 4th of July Parade in Bigfork is a Flathead Valley favorite. There will be food trucks and live music in the downtown parking lot starting at 10am and continuing after the parade so head down early. \nParking for the parade will be in the field at the intersection of Highway 35 and 82. From this parking area only\, free shuttle service is available to downtown from 8am-5pm. For everyone to have a clear view of the parade\, there will be no cars allowed in downtown Bigfork after 8 am on the 4th. \nFloats must pre-register. If you are planning on entering a loat in the parade\, you must pre-register and make sure you understand the float line up procedure. There is a fee for all entries to help cover the costs associated with the parade. Any person or float that is deemed by parade organizers as offensive or political will be removed from the event.  We are proud of where we live in and excited to invite the Flathead Valley to this non-partisan celebration of America’s birthday. Political candidates are allowed to participate with respectful campaign signage only (name\, seat\, party) and may not hand out printed information. \nThe parade begins at noon with members of the military.  They will pause in front of the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts to present colors while the National Anthem is sung. \nParade Rules: \n\nThe parade organizers will remove any person and or float that is deemed to be political or offensive. This is a non-partisan community event.\nItems may not be thrown into the crowd. Walkers with your float may hand out items or they may be gently tossed toward the feet of spectators.\nNo confetti cannons or throwing confetti. Confetti leaves lasting litter throughout our village.  If any person on your float is seen breaking this rule\, you will be required to pay for clean-up.\nParade line up starts at 9 am sharp and closes exactly at 11 am.\nLineup is first come/first in line\nThere is no place holding\nAnimals and livestock are welcome to join the parade after the rest of the floats and before the Flathead Lake Lodge firetruck – who is last. SUMMARY:Bigfork Elves Decorating Day
DESCRIPTION:It is time to turn Bigfork into Montana’s Christmas Village!  Meet in front of the Bigfork Inn at 8 am for a quick lesson on bow and tree tying before hitting the streets of Bigfork.  Powered by coffee\, hot chocolate and doughnuts\, roughly a hundred volunteers make this magical transformation happen.   The decorations will stay up until the end of  January.  Don’t forget\, all the Elves are invited back to help take down the decorations in January. This family friendly community decorating party is open to all ages and only takes about 4 hours.  Santa Hats will be provided for those who are new this year and pins dispensed AFTER decorating is completed. \nHot Chili is served up for lunch to warm you up after the work is done\, courtesy of the Garden Bar and Bigfork Ladies Service Club!\n\n\n
