Grab your calendar and save the date for October 14th because it’s going to be a day packed with fun in Bigfork. \n  \nFirst up\, we’ve got Fallfest at Flathead Lake State Parks – Wayfarers Unit\, kicking off at 10 am. Imagine this: delicious food\, warm drinks\, a scavenger hunt\, wagon rides\, games\, crafts\, prizes\, and fun for the whole gang! \n  \nTamarack Time! is making its triumphant return to downtown Bigfork. Drop off your favorite dish in one of the 13 categories by noon for judging. The tasting opens to the public at 1 pm\, and your $5 ticket lets you sample all the entries. Hungry yet? \n  \nTry your hand at Cider Pressing with Good Stuff Botanical at 2 pm over at Lake Baked. It’s a BYOA-J event\, (Bring Your Own Apples & Jug). 30-40 apples make about 1 gallon of cider. Ripe apples are ideal. You can pick unripe apples about 2 weeks before you press and let them sit outside. This process is called sweating. This helps reduce bitterness and astringency and brings out more flavor and sweetness. You’ll also get more juice.Want it sweet? Go for gala\, fuji\, golden\, or red delicious. For a tart twist\, pink lady\, Bradbury\, Johnathan\, and Macintosh are your go-tos. \n  \nAnd if that’s not enough\, we’ve got Pumpkin Decorating going down at Lake Baked too. The Bigfork Art & Cultural Center is bringing the pumpkin party to town with paints\, markers\, glitter\, and more. \n  \nCiderfest starts at 2 pm downtown and is your chance to sample the fall resleases from your favoite Cideries and Breweries. The Bad Larrys will be playing from 2-5pm  \n  \nThe day wraps up at the Garden Bar. They are rolling out the their annual Oktoberfest Braut Feed starting at 4 pm. \n  \nClear your schedule\, rally your crew\, and get ready for the all of the fall fun on October 14th.
