DESCRIPTION:Encaustic Workshop at the Bigfork Art & Cultural Center\nSaturday | September 14\, 2024\n9:00 AM – 4:00 PM \nw/Kris Larson & Meagan Schmoll\n\nThis workshop is designed for adult learners only. \nEncaustic art is limited only by your imagination\, and this workshop will introduce you to three of my favorite techniques\, highlighting the boundless possibilities this medium offers. We’ll explore Photo Transfer\, Shellac Spidering finessed by Alicia Tormey\, and inlaying organic\, porous materials like flowers and plants. \nAll materials will be provided. During the class\, participants will learn how to transfer a toner-based image onto their encaustic canvas\, apply shellac webbing\, and layer organic plant material to enhance their final piece. \nWhile experienced encaustic artists are welcome\, no prior experience is necessary to participate in this workshop. \nI am so excited to share these techniques and the creative whimsey it will inspire.
