He is given a coat of many colors by his father\, which is symbolic of his favor and an object of his brother’s jealousy.  Joseph endures a series of adventures which challenge him to his core\, including being sold into slavery\, imprisoned\, and ultimately finding himself in front of the mighty but troubled\, Elvis-inspired Pharaoh.
