SUMMARY:Grateful Nation Freedom Run 5K
DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled the annual Freedom Run 5k on July 4th in Bigfork will continue this year and for years to come! While Grateful Nation Montana no longer puts on the race\, they will continue to benefit from race proceeds – enabling continued support for the surviving children of our Fallen Montana Military Heroes who were killed in action in Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. \nThe Run/Walk is open to all ages and abilities\, and is a great opportunity to come together to remember and give thanks to all of our Military families before Bigfork’s 4th of July parade. Families and friends gather at Lake Baked around 8 a.m. for check in and the race begins at 9 a.m. The Freedom Run 5K heads out along the beautiful and scenic Wild Mile Nature Trail. Competitive Timing is out at the start and finish line and is found right in front of Lake Baked. At the finish line everyone enjoys cookies and medals! Please register early before June 1st to guarantee a shirt and your shirt size. FFF provides financial assistance in education for our Montana’s Fallen surviving spouse and their children from k-12th grade. CFP provides financial scholarships when our Montana Fallen’s children decide to pursue their education outside the state of Montana for post secondary school. 100% of every $1.00 you give to Grateful Nation Montana goes directly into the children’s educational fund. All general and administrative costs at Grateful Nation Montana are covered by the board and most GNM Freedom Run/Walk expenses are covered by all the amazing and generous business sponsors! \n\n\n\nThe majority of proceeds from the annual Grateful Nation Montana Freedom Run/Walk registrations will go directly to the Grateful Nation Montana children’s scholarship fund. The annual GNM Freedom 5k Run/Walk heads out along the back of town and then up along the road to the Bigfork Nature Trail. This is an out and back run/walk. There will be a water station at the halfway/turnaround point on the Bigfork Nature Trail.

DESCRIPTION:The Rotary Club of Bigfork is excited to be hosting our 4th Annual Fun Run\, “Bigfork Rotary’s RunFUNded.” The event will be held on Saturday\, June 21\, 2025\, and will include both a 5k route and a 10k route. The races start and end in the Bigfork High School parking lot.\n\n\n\n\n\nMonies raised from this event will be used by Rotary to support multiple community projects. The students in the BF High School’s partially funded sports that participate in our event will receive substantial donations for their given sport. The Bigfork High School’s partially funded sports include cross-country\, golf\, wrestling\, soccer\, baseball\, and swimming. Also supported by this event are Rotary’s two priority projects\, No Kid Hungry program and our Holiday Food Baskets program.
