This event serves as an opportunity to update our members on the latest chamber activities and also bring in expert speakers to discuss relevant business topics. \nBear In Mind Business\nThe Bigfork Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to our annual Spring Luncheon featuring Bear In Mind Business—the launch of a new initiative designed to support local businesses in becoming part of the solution when it comes to preventing bear conflicts in our area.\nDeveloped in partnership with the Wildlife Restoration Foundation\, Swan Valley Connections\, People and Carnivores\, and the Chamber\, this program equips businesses with the tools and resources needed to protect both people and wildlife. \nBear In Mind Business builds on the vital work of each partner organization by offering practical support to businesses here in Bigfork. Whether it’s helping business owners identify ways to reduce bear conflicts\, or providing resources to educate staff and customers\, this initiative connects you to local experts working to keep both people and bears safe. \nSpeakers:\nJackie Pagano\nBear Conflict Prevention Coordinator\, Swan Valley Connections\nJackie brings a wealth of hands-on experience to her work\, having worked with large carnivores for most of the last decade. Her work focuses on reducing bear conflicts in the Swan Watershed by distributing bear-resistant trash cans\, installing electric fencing to secure attractants\, and hosting educational events throughout the area. Her deep passion for wildlife and community makes her an engaging advocate for bear-smart practices. \nRyan Wilbur\nField Specialist\, People and Carnivores\nRyan works on the ground across the Northern Rockies to reduce human-carnivore conflicts. By helping landowners and land managers remove or secure attractants\, P & C plays a key role in maintaining safe corridors for species like grizzly bears\, black bears\, wolves\, and mountain lions. \nRebekah Ficek\nProgram Coordinator\, Wildlife Restoration Foundation\nRebekah coordinates the “I Am Bear Safe” initiative\, a multi-partner Wildlife Coexistence Strategy focused on reducing human-bear conflict in National Park and Forest gateway communities. DESCRIPTION:FOURTH OF JULY PARADE 2026 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBigfork knows how to throw a party. And when it is our country’s birthday\, Bigfork really knows how to celebrate. This year’s theme will be announced soon.  \nCenterpiece of the celebration is the annual parade through Bigfork which begins at noon. Bring your whole family to view our great parade to celebrate the birth of our country. The 4th of July Parade in Bigfork is a Flathead Valley favorite. There will be food trucks and live music in the downtown parking lot starting at 10am and continuing after the parade so head down early. \nParking for the parade will be in the field at the intersection of Highway 35 and 82. From this parking area only\, free shuttle service is available to downtown from 8am-5pm. For everyone to have a clear view of the parade\, there will be no cars allowed in downtown Bigfork after 8 am on the 4th. \nFloats must pre-register. If you are planning on entering a loat in the parade\, you must pre-register and make sure you understand the float line up procedure. There is a fee for all entries to help cover the costs associated with the parade. We are asking that all individuals attending the parade in any capacity remember this is a community event – welcoming to all and strictly non-partisan.  Please keep this in mind if you are planning to attend or participate in the parade. Any person or float that is deemed by parade organizers as offensive or political will be removed from the event.  We are proud of where we live in and excited to invite the Flathead Valley to this non-partisan celebration of America’s birthday. Political candidates are allowed to participate with respectful campaign signage only (name\, seat\, party) and may not hand out printed information. \nThe parade begins at noon with members of the military.  They will pause in front of the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts to present colors while the National Anthem is sung. \nParade Rules: \n\nThe parade organizers will remove any person and or float that is deemed to be political or offensive. This is a non-partisan community event.\nItems may not be thrown into the crowd. Walkers with your float may hand out items or they may be gently tossed toward the feet of spectators.\nNo confetti cannons or throwing confetti. Confetti leaves lasting litter throughout our village.  If any person on your float is seen breaking this rule\, you will be required to pay for clean-up.\nParade line up starts at 9 am sharp and closes exactly at 11 am.\nLineup is first come/first in line\nThere is no place holding\nAnimals and livestock are welcome to join the parade after the rest of the floats and before the Flathead Lake Lodge firetruck – who is last. If you will have animals\, please contact us so we can help find a safe\, shady place for them.  Please have walkers to clean up after them\nJudging will take place in the parade line up. To be judged\, your float must be completed by 11:00 am.\nFloats that have not pre-registered or that arrive after 11am will not be allowed in the parade.\n\n\n\n\n\nJudging Criteria:\n \n\nOriginality: This category judges the overall creativity and originality in the float design and concept.\nCraftsmanship: This category judges the quality and complexity of the float’s workmanship.\nEntertainment Value: This category judges the float’s “wow factor.” Judges will consider the elements such as color\, sound\, and motion. SUMMARY:Festival of the Arts
DESCRIPTION:2025 celebrates the 47th year for the annual Bigfork Festival of the Arts\, a favorite among artists and visitors alike.  Our well attended Festival fills the village of Bigfork with a fine selection of art\, crafts\, food\, music and other entertainment on both Saturday and Sunday. You are invited to be a part of this special weekend.
