DESCRIPTION:It is time to turn Bigfork into Montana’s Christmas Village!  Meet in front of the Bigfork Inn at 8 am for a quick lesson on bow and tree tying before hitting the streets of Bigfork.  Powered by coffee\, hot chocolate and doughnuts\, roughly a hundred volunteers make this magical transformation happen.   The decorations will stay up until the end of  January.  Don’t forget\, all the Elves are invited back to help take down the decorations in January. This family friendly community decorating party is open to all ages and only takes about 4 hours.  Santa Hats will be provided for those who are new this year and pins dispensed AFTER decorating is completed. \nHot Chili is served up for lunch to warm you up after the work is done\, courtesy of the Garden Bar and Bigfork Ladies Service Club!\n\n\n

The evening culminates with the arrival of Santa Claus at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts\, where he’ll be available for photos until 8:00 pm. Then\, wrap up the night by catching the annual holiday performance of A Touch of Christmas at 7:30 pm.\nPlease note that roads will close at 5:30 pm for the safety of parade-goers.Join us for an unforgettable evening of lights\, laughter\, and holiday warmth in the heart of Bigfork!\n\nRegister your float here: will be posted as time gets closer\nParade Rules: \n\nThis is a non-partisan community event. There will be food trucks and live music in the downtown parking lot starting at 10am and continuing after the parade so head down early. \nParking for the parade will be in the field at the intersection of Highway 35 and 82. From this parking area only\, free shuttle service is available to downtown from 8am-5pm. For everyone to have a clear view of the parade\, there will be no cars allowed in downtown Bigfork after 8 am on the 4th. \nFloats must pre-register. If you are planning on entering a loat in the parade\, you must pre-register and make sure you understand the float line up procedure. There is a fee for all entries to help cover the costs associated with the parade. DESCRIPTION:It is time to turn Bigfork into Montana’s Christmas Village!  Meet in front of the Bigfork Inn at 8 am for a quick lesson on bow and tree tying before hitting the streets of Bigfork.  Powered by coffee\, hot chocolate and doughnuts\, roughly a hundred volunteers make this magical transformation happen.   The decorations will stay up until the end of  January.  Don’t forget\, all the Elves are invited back to help take down the decorations in January. This family friendly community decorating party is open to all ages and only takes about 4 hours.  Santa Hats will be provided for those who are new this year and pins dispensed AFTER decorating is completed. \nHot Chili is served up for lunch to warm you up after the work is done\, courtesy of the Garden Bar and Bigfork Ladies Service Club!\n\n\n

This amateur food competition is open to the public and invites the Flathead Valley to come down and enjoy this great event and the great food! Hosted in the fall\, this event takes place along Electric Avenue in Downtown Bigfork annually. \nDrop off your favorite dish in one of the 13 categories by noon for judging. The tasting opens to the public at 1 pm\, and your $5 ticket lets you sample all the entries. Hungry yet? \nWant to get involved in Tamarack Time!? There are three fantastic ways to do it! \nChair a food category! Help make Tamarack Time! a success by ralling your friends\, family\, and strangers to submit a dish in that category. The day all you need to do is man the table\, with a couple volunteers you recruit\, to receive the entries and serve tastings to the public. \nBe a judge! Cleanse your palate and sharpen your taste buds and get ready to dive into Bigfork’s finest homemade culinary delights. SUMMARY:Bigfork Elves Decorating Day
DESCRIPTION:It is time to turn Bigfork into Montana’s Christmas Village!  Meet in front of the Bigfork Inn at 8 am for a quick lesson on bow and tree tying before hitting the streets of Bigfork.  Powered by coffee\, hot chocolate and doughnuts\, roughly a hundred volunteers make this magical transformation happen.   The decorations will stay up until the end of  January.  Don’t forget\, all the Elves are invited back to help take down the decorations in January. This family friendly community decorating party is open to all ages and only takes about 4 hours.  Santa Hats will be provided for those who are new this year and pins dispensed AFTER decorating is completed. \nHot Chili is served up for lunch to warm you up after the work is done\, courtesy of the Garden Bar and Bigfork Ladies Service Club!\n\n\n

Mark your calendars for the first Saturday of December\, when the town glows with festive lights and joyful cheer.\n\nCome early to explore our charming Christmas Village—shop locally\, enjoy a warm drink\, and admire the beautifully decorated storefronts brought to life by the hardworking Bigfork Elves. Stores will be open late\, so you can soak up the magic before the parade begins.\n\nThe Parade of Lights starts at 6:00 pm\, filling the streets with dazzling floats\, music\, and community spirit. The evening culminates with the arrival of Santa Claus at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts\, where he’ll be available for photos until 8:00 pm. Then\, wrap up the night by catching the annual holiday performance of A Touch of Christmas at 7:30 pm.\nPlease note that roads will close at 5:30 pm for the safety of parade-goers.Join us for an unforgettable evening of lights\, laughter\, and holiday warmth in the heart of Bigfork!\n\nRegister your float here: will be posted as time gets closer\nParade Rules: \n\nThis is a non-partisan community event. The organizers reserve the right to remove any person or float deemed political or offensive.\nItems may not be thrown from floats\, but walkers are welcome to hand out goodies or gently toss them towards spectators’ feet.\nConfetti is not allowed\, as it leaves a lasting mark on our village. Floats breaking this rule will be responsible for cleanup.\nParade lineup starts at 5:00 pm at the school bus parking area on Grand Avenue\, and the parade begins at 6:00 pm. Lineup is first-come\, first-served\, with no placeholders.\nAnimals and livestock are welcome at the end of the parade\, but please provide cleanup walkers.\n\n
