There are three fantastic ways to do it! \nChair a food category! Help make Tamarack Time! a success by ralling your friends\, family\, and strangers to submit a dish in that category. The day all you need to do is man the table\, with a couple volunteers you recruit\, to receive the entries and serve tastings to the public. \nBe a judge! Cleanse your palate and sharpen your taste buds and get ready to dive into Bigfork’s finest homemade culinary delights. DESCRIPTION:It is time to turn Bigfork into Montana’s Christmas Village!  Meet in front of the Bigfork Inn at 8 am for a quick lesson on bow and tree tying before hitting the streets of Bigfork.  Powered by coffee\, hot chocolate and doughnuts\, roughly a hundred volunteers make this magical transformation happen.   The decorations will stay up until the end of  January.  Don’t forget\, all the Elves are invited back to help take down the decorations in January. This family friendly community decorating party is open to all ages and only takes about 4 hours.  Santa Hats will be provided for those who are new this year and pins dispensed AFTER decorating is completed. \nHot Chili is served up for lunch to warm you up after the work is done\, courtesy of the Garden Bar and Bigfork Ladies Service Club!\n\n\n

Mark your calendars for the first Saturday of December\, when the town glows with festive lights and joyful cheer.\n\nCome early to explore our charming Christmas Village—shop locally\, enjoy a warm drink\, and admire the beautifully decorated storefronts brought to life by the hardworking Bigfork Elves. Stores will be open late\, so you can soak up the magic before the parade begins.\n\nThe Parade of Lights starts at 6:00 pm\, filling the streets with dazzling floats\, music\, and community spirit. The evening culminates with the arrival of Santa Claus at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts\, where he’ll be available for photos until 8:00 pm. DESCRIPTION:The Bigfork Whitewater Festival will be celebrating its 51st year! We welcome you to join us for this historic\, local event as either a competitor or spectator this Memorial Day Weekend in Downtown Bigfork. \nBigfork\, Montana is located on the north end of Flathead Lake\, where the Swan River spills into Bigfork Bay. The last mile of the Swan River\, known as the “Wild Mile”\, is a class IV section of whitewater. This beautiful and challenging whitewater venue has a scenic nature trail paralleling the north side\, giving spectators front row seats for some of the best whitewater action in the area. \nThe Wild Mile also flows through downtown Bigfork\, which offers an eclectic variety of restaurants\, shops and galleries.
