It also about celebrating and supporting the businesses that line Electric Avenue. While enjoying the Festival of the Arts\, be sure to browse the downtown shops and galleries that Bigfork is known for. There will be live musical performances both days\, along with the Flathead Valley’s favorite food trucks.\nThe festival’s history dates back to May 1978 when the idea of the Bigfork Festival of the Arts was first proposed during a conversation on Electric Ave. Within months\, the inaugural festival took place on the first weekend of August\, defying expectations with its success. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from the community solidified its place as an annual event.\n\nOver the years\, the festival has flourished\, growing steadily in size and reputation. In 2005\, the Bigfork Area Chamber of Commerce took the reins\, ensuring its continued success. Today\, the festival boasts over 150 booths\, featuring a diverse array of arts and crafts crafted by nationally and internationally recognized artists and artisans. There will be live musical performances both days\, along with the Flathead Valley’s favorite food trucks.\nThe festival’s history dates back to May 1978 when the idea of the Bigfork Festival of the Arts was first proposed during a conversation on Electric Ave. Within months\, the inaugural festival took place on the first weekend of August\, defying expectations with its success. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from the community solidified its place as an annual event.\n\nOver the years\, the festival has flourished\, growing steadily in size and reputation. In 2005\, the Bigfork Area Chamber of Commerce took the reins\, ensuring its continued success. Today\, the festival boasts over 150 booths\, featuring a diverse array of arts and crafts crafted by nationally and internationally recognized artists and artisans.
