SUMMARY:Auditions for Annie\, Jr at BF Playhouse
DESCRIPTION:Bigfork Playhouse Children’s Theatre to hold auditions for ANNIE Jr. – the Musical\n\nThe Bigfork Playhouse Children’s Theater invites students in grades 2 through 12 to audition\, Tuesday\, September 6th\, (the day after Labor Day) for the cast of the hit musical ANNIE Jr.\n\nSet in New York in the 30’s\, Annie lives in an orphanage run by Miss Hannigan who is a sleazy\, fairly unpleasant character. Annie was left as a baby with a letter saying her parents would return for her one day\, and the thought of this keeps her going! However sometimes she runs away to try and find them for herself. \nOne day Grace Farrell\, the secretary to Mr. Oliver Warbucks\, the millionaire\, arrives to give an orphan a holiday in his grand home for Christmas\, and Grace chooses Annie. \nAnnie is immediately loved by everyone\, including Warbucks\, who asks her if she would like to be adopted by him. Although Annie tells him she would love to stay she is waiting to be reunited with her real mother and father. Warbucks then tries to help Annie find her parents by offering a reward for them to come forward. \nWhen Miss Hannigan hears of this she hatches a plan with her brother Rooster\, who is a rogue\, and he\, along with his girlfriend Lily\, pretend to be Annie’s long lost parents. However their plan is foiled and of course Annie ends up living happily ever after with Warbucks (having eventually found out that her real parents had died many years before). \nAuditions will be held at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts on Tuesday\, September 6th   from 4:00-5:00 PM for 2nd and  3rd grades\,  5:00-6:30 PM for 4th through 7th  grades and 6:30-8:00 PM for 8th through 12th grades. \nThis production calls for a large cast of around 40.  It costs nothing to audition and there is a $50 participation fee if you are cast in the show.  Please prepare a 30 second Monologue or short selection from another play\, poem or book\, (we will have several at the audition if you need one) and plan to learn and sing something for us at the audition.  Don’t worry if you don’t have experience\, we’ll have materials at the theatre for you. Wear comfortable shoes that you can move in\, as we will be moving around the stage. \nNot interested in stage work but would like to be involved? Give us a call! DESCRIPTION:What:    “FUN-draising BBQ for the Bigfork Fire Department”. \nWhen:    Friday at 5:00pm\, September 9\, 2022 \nWhere:  The Harbor Village Pavilion; corner of Canal St. and Marina Way. \nAfter a year’s postponement we are back at it\, once again hosting the 16th Friends of Bigfork Fire Department’s “FUN-draising” event on Friday\, Sept. 9th\, starting at 5:00 p.m. at the Harbor Village Pavilion in Eagle Bend (corner of Canal St & Marina Way). Won’t you please show your appreciation to our Fire and Ambulance Department by attending? \nOur BBQ is sponsored and served by First Interstate Bank. Meal tickets are $5 for children\, $10 for adults\, and $25 for a family of four.  Beer and wine\, sodas and water will be served. Several fire engines and other apparatus will be there for you and your family to check out. \nAs always\, the fun includes the “Niner-Niner” golf event; Friday noon\, Sept 9. Entry fee is $99. Glacier Bank is hosting a refreshment tent and sponsoring four $250 prizes for “Closest to the Hole” on #2 & #6 of Eagle Bend’s “Osprey Nine” course. A Margarita tent on #9 hole is sponsored by National Parks Realty.
