DESCRIPTION:Montana Conversations with Aspen and Cameron Decker\, sponsored by Humanties Montana: \nSqelixʷ ‘Salish’ Storytelling incorporates Salish Language\, Plains Indian Sign Language\, and storytelling to discuss Salish cultural\, identity and values. This presentation teaches Indigenous understandings about native storytelling\, and connection with the land. Aspen and Cameron Decker focus on teaching about Salish place names/Montana geography\, art\, and the Salish seasonal round. Coyote stories are told throughout the winter months. In the warmer months\, the presentation focuses on Salish anthology.

DESCRIPTION:The Flathead Food Bank will be hosting a Mardi Gras themed gala at the Red Lion Hotel on Friday February 23rd. Trade in the blizzard and grab a hurricane as we will sing\, dance\, and celebrate all night long with some festive New Orleans flare. Find out if the tarot cards are in your favor that February night as we will be raffling off amazing prizes and gift baskets. We will bring the green and purple if you bring the gold!\nThis jazz filled night will be integral to the Food Bank’s capital campaign to renovate their current operating space. The Flathead Food Bank plans on creating a more inviting atmosphere to their clients\, aims to become a local distribution center for other surrounding pantries in northwest Montana\, and strives to add a commercial kitchen. Save the date for this event as we will be providing more information as the event nears!
