Honoring Native American Heritage Month, the symphony is offering a multimedia program of Westwater Arts Visions; a heartfelt tribute to America’s First Peoples through the unmistakable images of legendary photographer Edward Curtis and National Park imagery choreographed to music by Vaughan Williams. World flutist Suzanne Teng will perform in Maestro Zoltek’s Earth Anthem, based on the poetry of University of Montana professor and Salish-Kootenai poet, Heather Cahoon. The concert evening will open with ceremonial songs by Blackfeet artist Kevin Kicking Woman and art installations by artist Monica Gilles-BringsYellow.
