“King” Solomon Hicks, lead guitarist for NYC’s Cotton Club, also known as “Lil” B.B. King, will perform in Bigfork at the invitation of the Crown of the Continent Guitar Foundation. Hicks is a guitar prodigy from Harlem who began playing as lead guitarist with the Cotton Club 17 piece band at the tender age of 13. Now 23, he has evolved into a high energy get-up-out-of-your-seat blues guitarist.
Check him out on the following dates:
- Sunday, October 7th from 3-8 pm at The Raven in Woods Bay (joined by Tommy Edwards of Man in the Box), special Cajun Day menu planned
- Monday, October 8th, starting at 5 pm Fund Raising party themed “New Years Eve in October” featuring hors d’ oeuvres, champagne, wine, beer and dancing at the Laughing Horse Lodge in Swan Lake. Tickets are $100 and seating is limited to 40 guests. Call the Laughing Horse directly for reservations, 406-886-2080.
“This visit marks King Solomon’s fifth year to bring his amazing performance to the Flathead. He is becoming a true force in the Global Blues Scene. We are happy he is able to spend this long October weekend with us and for his support of the Crown Guitar Workshop and Festival,” comments Steve Anderson, Crown Executive Director.
