We are currently hiring for Lumberyard Customer Service at our Bigfork location!

As a member of Sliters’ lumberyard customer service team, your mission is to achieve Sliters’ customer service objectives and protect company assets, including yard equipment and inventory. You will utilize product and inventory knowledge and materials handling practices to provide prompt, friendly and courteous service to will-call customers in the lumber yard.
· Assisting will-call customer and helping them load materials
· Safely operating machinery, such as saws, as required in the performance of customer service.
· Safely filling propane
· Being familiar with all inventory items and their location, unloading shipments and storing incoming materials in their proper location
· At the direction of the yard foreman or other senior yard personnel assist with material stocking and storage.
· Keeping yard clean and merchandise orderly
· Being familiar with the grades, dimensions, species of lumber in stock and other merchandise stored in yard
· Being able to tolerate and function in diverse seasonal climate changes
· Reporting complaints or other problems with customers promptly to supervisor.
· At the direction of the yard foreman, promptly assisting with material returns
· Assuming other duties as workload and need dictate.
· Willingness to approach customers and offer assistance to solve customer’s project problems
· Safely operate power equipment, if required
· Clean and neat at all times

This position requires physical … standing and walking throughout the day and includes occasional heavy lifting (100 lbs) with significant outdoor activities. May load merchandise into customer vehicles.
